Thanks, Pall, this is very interesting and it was exactly
what I was looking for. well, not exactly, I'm looking forward to pass right
and left channel still not obtrusive to any processing but I would like to have
analog mix of right and left cha...

I keep thinking about my new idea of more than 2 channels
and room acoustic reinforcement but in natural and organic way, without using DSP.
I have invited my friend who did it from
last week to collaborate the idea and to bound some of my concep...

I am not exactly taking
about the surround sound as it understood by video people. In fact, I believe that
surround sound for video is a bad conceptually as it contradicts in my view
some cinematographic objectives. I imply the “surround sound” an...

I had a very interesting experience last Sunday. I visited
my local audio guy and had a phenomenal listening session. He is horn guy and
had a good sound in his dedicated room. He is for year playing with surround sound
that I never cared about an...

There was a very interesting event last week that tested a
reality of my cockiness. My old friend was coming to town with his family. He
is heavy duty audio guy and one of the few who opinion I value. We have a lot

[quote

are happy with the mid/upperbass and midrange. [/quote]
That was very loaded statement
but how a person with not a lot of listening experience to become happy with mid/up...

If there is one thing that I
have learned in life, and heard many times, is that making a mistake is
not a bad thing if you learn from it. In addition the lesson learned is just as

I was cooking a dinner today for my kids and they asked me if
any taste difference between ice-tea in Donkin and Starbucks. In my head popup
an association with this thread. The

With all my respect to Tom Danley to release a loudspeaker
with onboard DSP and to claim the “highest quality of home audio in the
industry” is kind of ridiculous. The people who know about digital as much as Tom
Danley knows about loudspeaker fee...

I am going to show two different simulations for a 105Hz
tractrix horn with the same 8”driver (B&C 8PE21). The parameter
values for these two simulations are quite different. However the
simulations predict the same...

RLRB,
theecc81 is basically
the same tube with slightly less gain, if I remember correctly. It is not the problem
in your question, the problem, in my view is in different domain. You said: “idea
is to use input and xover tubes with ecc83 and rep...

Ah, you were asking about the tunning of the uperbass horn?
That is very simple. You need to make the primary resonance to hit exactly at
the horn’s mouth rate. So, it is it 110Hz horn then make the primary impedance
to peak at 110Hz, there are ma...

Anthony, it feels like more of less comprehensive solution.
I like that you make the mid-bass horns to have the same externals profile as lower
midrange horn, this is making is visually very complete. If it was mine, then I
would use less gloss on...

Tomand, John is probably the last person who supports Bidat.
I think you can get Bidat from Meitner himself; I do not see he would be
keeping it as a secret. Typically, it is
not practicable to ask pro people to share schematic but Bidat is a cul...

Alex,
I cannot answer your questions objectively. It was over 15
years ago when I was working with this phonostage and since I built the last
version, I did not make any experiments with it. I do feel the design is
spectacular, and I am lu...

Anthony,
Yes, this is the exact configuration that I have. As you drive your LF channels down, probably it will be 30-35Hz with >2 order filter you will like the sound from them even more. I hope you have a good ...

ifiOrDie,
regarding the material of the horn. There is in my view no matter the
logically clean empirical data that material of horn matters. Certainly would

Jarek, the PP unit
